Course Description

The Learning and Development Facilitator programme is designed to prepare learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to support learning and development activities within an organisation. The programme equips learners with an understanding of training principles, learner support, communication techniques, and the importance of creating an effective learning environment.

The course focuses on developing the ability to plan and facilitate training sessions, support learners throughout the learning process, and assess their progress against set objectives. Learners will also gain practical skills in communicating with different types of learners, identifying development needs, and providing appropriate support.

Upon completion, learners will be equipped with the skills required to contribute effectively to organisational learning, employee development, and overall workplace performance.

This course covers the knowledge and practical skills required to facilitate effective learning and development within an organisation. Learners will gain an understanding of adult learning principles, facilitation techniques, learner needs, and how to create a supportive and effective learning environment.

The programme focuses on planning and preparing for facilitation, including organising resources and logistics to support learning. Learners will develop the ability to identify and address barriers to learning, recognise prior knowledge and experience, provide guidance and support, and adapt facilitation methods to suit different learners, contexts, and learning styles.

Learners will also develop practical skills in facilitating active learning, managing learner expectations, communicating effectively, and conducting learning sessions in an organised and professional manner. The course equips learners to support learners throughout the learning process and contribute effectively to learning and development within the workplace
