Course Description

Home-Based Carers provide supervised support to patients within their homes and community settings, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, feeding, mobility, and basic health monitoring. They play a vital role in promoting comfort, restoring function, and maintaining overall well-being while offering emotional support to both patients and their families. Their duties include ensuring a clean and safe environment, assisting with chronic illness management, disability care, and providing compassionate end-of-life support. They also help educate families on hygiene, infection control, and basic health practices. This qualification equips learners with the essential skills and competencies needed to deliver safe, ethical, and person-centred care as Home-Based Carers.
