Supply Chain Practitioner, NQF Level 5

Course Description

This qualification is designed for people who want to function as Supply Chain Practitioners. It gives you theoretical knowledge, hands-on/practical skills, and workplace-learning so you can work in various supply chain roles. It focuses on helping you develop operational schedules and action plans, coordinate supply chain service delivery to meet customer or end-user requirements and monitor how well these plans are being carried out including managing relationships with customers, end-users and suppliers.You’ll cover core subjects such as inventory management, procurement operations, warehousing and facility operations, logistics (transport & distribution), returns management, performance and contract management, as well as demand execution and production operations. On the practical side, the qualification requires you to translate performance and operational plans into schedules, coordinate their implementation, monitor execution (in areas like transport, warehousing, production, procurement), and oversee service level agreements. In addition, there is a compulsory work experience component so you can apply what you learn in real supply chain settings.
