On 3rd June 2022 history was made as we hosted our first-ever graduation ceremony.
This celebratory event took place at The Stamford, in Greyville, Durban. Our group of graduates came from different walks of life including other neighbouring countries. Others came from in and around KZN, as well as the Western and Eastern Cape, to celebrate
their success with us.
Graduation ceremonies are a high point in the academic year and a significant milestone as they recognize a student’s hard work and accomplishments, which are then celebrated with peers, family, and friends. Each respective qualification opens doors of opportunities and further enables a person to advance their career. The Managing Director of Gateway City College, Mr Bernard Makanha congratulated all the graduates on completing the academic requirements of their respective qualifications. He further
said, “Education is not just about grades but, more importantly, it teaches us to break barriers into previously unknown domains. Your Gateway City College experiences have, undoubtedly, enriched you and hopefully sparked an interest that will take you to greater
and more glorious accomplishments. Remember, the greatest journey starts with one little step”.
At Gateway City College we are extremely proud of our graduates who have, against all odds (especially the Covid-19 pandemic), made it this far. We are looking forward to the future and the positive impact of the skills and qualifications our graduates have attained with us, which will, in turn, have a positive impact on the environment and our country’s economy at large.
